Site-specific installation, French national Library (BnF) plaza, may 2010.

Impatience that such a brand-new neighbourhood would be marked by the patina of time, eroded. I plan the beauty to come and share my vision throughout an observatory system. Whereas the exterior look matches the contemporary period, the spectator jumps forward 300 years on getting inside. A rusty periscope, rotative on 180 degrees, allows him to look at the ruined site, overrun by plants.
